IHCI 2025 • Call for Tutorial Proposals

We invite hands-on and lecture-style tutorials that teach tools, methods, and best practices in Intelligent Human–Computer Interaction and adjacent areas.

Overview

Tutorials help IHCI attendees upskill on emerging methods, tools, and workflows. We encourage practical sessions with reproducible artifacts and inclusive pedagogy.

Instructor Team

Proposals typically list 1–3 instructors. Include brief bios, prior teaching experience, and links to relevant projects/courses.

  • At least one instructor should be present on-site
  • Teaching assistants recommended for hands-on labs

Proposal Guidelines

Prepare a 3–5 page PDF including:

  • Title, duration (90/180/360 min), and mode (hands-on/lecture/hybrid)
  • Abstract (150–250 words) and learning objectives
  • Outline with time breakdown & activities
  • Prerequisites (skills/software); install guide or cloud setup
  • Instructors (names, affiliations, emails, short bios)
  • Materials to be shared (slides, code, datasets)
  • Logistics (A/V, power, Wi‑Fi, lab capacity, accessibility)
  • Assessment (exercises, quizzes, or takeaways)

Review Criteria

  • Clarity of objectives and fit with IHCI audience
  • Instructor expertise & teaching plan
  • Hands‑on value and quality of materials
  • Feasibility within requested duration
  • Inclusion & accessibility considerations

Important Dates

  • Tutorial proposal deadline: Aug 12, 2025 (AoE)
  • Notifications: Aug 31, 2025
  • Material freeze (slides/code): Nov 07, 2025
  • Conference: Nov 14–16, 2025

  • Wi‑Fi provided; heavy compute via cloud preferred
  • On‑site power strips and limited loaner laptops
